Feral camel control

Station manager was wondering where all the tank water to the trough was going. I spent the night overwatching the trough and at about 2200hrs a herd of 120 camels wandered in for a drink. No chance for the cattle to drink. A single camel will drink 100 litres, 100 camels 10,000 litres and when the trough runs dry they will bite and pull at the trough ball valve, quite often braking the pipe and draining the tank. The result is no water for the cattle and damage to the water pipes and trough.
